Local crew gigs — deliver, clean, swap, get paid
ReefRide Pros are the on-island crew that keep the marketplace moving. Hosts post a gig — delivery to a hotel, a between-trip cleaning, a key swap, a quick rescue — and any verified Pro nearby can claim it from their phone. Cash hits your account weekly.

Gig types + typical pay
- Delivery: drop a host's car at a hotel, Airbnb, or the airport. Per-mile + base fare.
- Pickup return: pick up a returning car from a guest drop-off and bring it back to the host's spot.
- Quick clean: between-trip vacuum / wipe-down / windows. Flat fee per gig.

- Key swap / lockbox reset: quick on-site fix. Flat fee.
- Rescue: roadside assistance handoff for a guest in a bind. Bonus pay for fast response.
Why hosts use Pros
Pros let car hosts scale beyond what they can personally handle. A host with three cars can't be in three places at once when three guests land at three different hours — but a Pro can. The marketplace is what turns a side-income car listing into something that runs without the host being on call.
That dynamic is why Pro shifts pay reliably: every gig is attached to a real, paid booking. The host already collected payment from the guest; the Pro fee is part of the trip's economics from the start.
Frequently asked
Is this a W-2 job or a 1099 gig?
1099. You're an independent contractor — pick your own hours, claim what you want. ReefRide handles the platform; you handle the work. Year-end 1099-K is generated automatically when you cross the IRS threshold.
What if I claim a gig and then can't make it?
Release it back into the pool from the gig detail screen. Try to do it as early as possible — repeated last-minute releases hurt your acceptance score, which gates you out of higher-paying gigs over time.
Do I use my own car?
For deliveries, you typically drive the host's car (the one being delivered) one-way and use a rideshare or your own car back — both legs are factored into the pay. For cleanings and swaps, you arrive at the host's lot in your own vehicle.
What if a gig goes wrong — damage during delivery?
ReefRide carries platform-level coverage on Pro-driven legs. Report incidents in the app immediately; they're handled the same way as guest-side incidents — you don't pay out of pocket for issues the protection plan covers.
How fast does a typical Pro get paid?
Gigs you complete Monday–Sunday pay out the following Tuesday via Stripe Connect. Stripe transfers to your bank in 1–2 business days from there.
Can I do this part-time?
Yes — most Pros do. Toggle availability on when you want gigs, off when you don't. The app only shows you open gigs while you're on; you're never under any obligation to claim.
